I can't believe it's happening. I've been waiting for this day for a long time. Unfortunately, we couldn't make the trip down to South Africa but at least we made it to good old Jacskonville. It was nice to see Kalpesh and Niven. I haven't seen them in years. Kaki seems to look younger everytime I see her.

These are the only times we get to see the entire family in one place. Charuben and Ba were there with Rekhabhabi and the two kids - Bhavik and Roshan. Those two and Sydney had a great time.
We stayed at their beach front hotel. The last time I saw it, it was being built. The weather was perfect an they took great care of us. It was fun to see Niven in action as the lunch time chef at the beginning of the week and he brought us his chocalate souffle from the restarant - it was to die for!
I love hanging out with Kalpesh - he is soooo laid back. Everyone is scrambling around - but he is so cool. Figuring out what to wear for each event was funny. It was like Queer Eye for the Straight Guy- completely helpless when it came to fashion. That's ok. He had lots of help to make it all happen for the big day.

Sydney was definitely the hit of the town. She was strutting her stuff in her new indian outfits - thanks to Bhavnakaki. Thanks kaki for the outfits. They were perfect. She did great for her big first occasion. A little social butterfly.

The entire wedding celebrations were well planned and the food was excellent, especially the pickles Jamufoi brought.
At the end, we all went back to the house and took alot of the snacks home for the trip back. All good stuff. Sydney loved the gantya.
