Sydney in Chi-Town
Anyway, we stayed at a fabulous hotel off Michigan Ave (Mag Mile) overlooking the river running through the beautiful skyscraper town. First night we ate at Gino's East Pizzaria - famous deep-dish. Yummy. The last night we went to Fronterra Grill, Rick Bayliss's excellent mexican cuisine - you know - the funny guy who travels all over Mexico making Cerviche anywhere he can.
Unfortunately, the Buckingham Fountain was shut down for winter season so we took the Architecture River Boat for a great tour of the city.
We had so much fun hanging out in the hotel. Big buffet breakfasts in the morning, hanging out at the pool in the evening, nice comfy beds to watch movies. Great weekend in a great citywith the nicest city people I have ever met. Good times in the midwest.

Mona's First Half-Marathon
We are very proud of little sister finishing her first half marathon. She ran from the Embarcadero to Ocean Beach - 13 miles and didn't look tired at all when we saw her at the finish line. I think she could go for the full monty.
There were so many runners, it was crazy. Her Team and Training group had a nice spread at the end of the race where we hung out and had cookies.
We then headed to Tia & Jeff's for a nice breakfast and got to play with little Blake. He is so cute and cuddly with super sweet smiles just like his mom. It was the Patel and Hutchinson clan under one roof having lots of fun.

Brett's Caltrain Project coming to an end
After two years of long hours and weekend work, Brett's Caltrain project in San Jose is coming to an end. The official ribbon cutting ceremony happened this weekend and the whole family went down to see the final product. We came on shuttle greeted with balloons, snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, and cake.
Yummy for 10:30 in the morning. Then Brett gave us the personal tour of the facility, where they work on the wheels, change the engine, wash the tracks, and load the equipment. It was very cool and very clean. Lots of kids and family.
