Sydney in Chi-Town

Oh Chicago, home of the deep dish pizza, what a great city. We thought we'd take one last trip somewhere in America before Sydney turned 2 to get the free airline ticket, but after this trip, I'm glad we'll have to pay for a separate seat. Up and down and all around we went from my lap to Brett's until we finally got her to sleep across both our laps in the last hour. Luckily, on the way back, she got her own seat.

Anyway, we stayed at a fabulous hotel off Michigan Ave (Mag Mile) overlooking the river running through the beautiful skyscraper town. First night we ate at Gino's East Pizzaria - famous deep-dish. Yummy. The last night we went to Fronterra Grill, Rick Bayliss's excellent mexican cuisine - you know - the funny guy who travels all over Mexico making Cerviche anywhere he can.
Unfortunately, the Buckingham Fountain was shut down for winter season so we took the Architecture River Boat for a great tour of the city.
We had so much fun hanging out in the hotel. Big buffet breakfasts in the morning, hanging out at the pool in the evening, nice comfy beds to watch movies. Great weekend in a great citywith the nicest city people I have ever met. Good times in the midwest.
